Gatto was also named the PACWEST’s top libero in an honour that was created in 2020 as the conference now recognizes the best player at each position.
Griffith has been among the conference leaders in kills all season, totaling 115 on the year, and has used her big lefthanded swing effectively from the service line as well in racking up 21 aces. The Vancouver native set a season- and career-high in kills Nov. 12 when she chalked up 17 in a home win over Camosun.
Gatto overcame an ankle injury in season and has been the PACWEST leader in digs per set since the calendar flipped to 2022. The Coquitlam native's receiving and court coverage has kept rallies alive for the Blues all year as she recorded 118 digs on the season including 20 in a game on two occasions, Nov. 12 against Camosun and Jan. 15 against CBC.
In her rookie season, Bos has been a key contributor as she’s stepped in to fill a big need for the Blues at the net. The Kelowna native has also been effective in the service game with 15 aces.
Griffith, Gatto, Bos and the rest of the Blues play their first game at the PACWEST Provincials Thursday, Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. against College of the Rockies.
