Despite 17 points from forward Mackenzie Smith and 15 from guard Jenna Griffin, the PACWEST No. 2-seed Capilano Blues were taken down 82-73 by the No. 3-seed Okanagan College Coyotes Friday in the provincial semifinals.
Jordan Kemper led the way for OC with 26 points while Paloma Niz Velazquez added 20 off the bench while going 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.
OC advances to the PACWEST gold medal game where they will face the No. 1-seed Vancouver Island University Mariners who defeated the Douglas College Royals 59-45 Friday evening.

The Blues will battle the Douglas College Royals for PACWEST Bronze Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at Columbia Place in Abbotsford, BC hosted by the Columbia Bible College Bearcats.
Jenna Griffin was named the Player of the Game for the Blues.
