Rafael Hilario and Maya Griffith earn Athlete of the Week honours to finish the semester heading into 2022.

The international from Brazil racked up 18 kills Friday night in a 3-1 home win over Vancouver Island University (VIU). The 6-foot-3 outside hitter did damage from behind the line as well using a booming jump serve to land four aces. Hilario was also solid in the Blues defensive structure making six digs.

Maya Griffith
The second-year outside hitter notched 11 kills and added 14 digs Friday evening against the visiting VIU Mariners. Griffith led the Blues in both statistical categories. She also handled setting duties a couple of times on the night when the Blues setter was taken out by the Mariners attack.
