For the first time since 2003, the Capilano Blues will play at the CCAA National Championships after downing the Camosun College Chargers 82-74 Friday afternoon at the semifinals of the PACWEST Provincials.
CapU will play for gold Saturday in an 8 p.m. tip off against the winner of Friday night's other semifinal between Langara College and Vancouver Island University. Both teams in Saturday's final will go to the CCAA Nationals on account of the PACWEST conference this year having two berths through to the national tournament.

Veteran guards Martin Bogajev and Brendan Bailey contributed 21 and 12 points respectively. Spark plug guard Tyrone Asenoguan drained 19 points while grabbing 9 rebounds, one shy of a double-double on the afternoon.
Leading the way for the Blues was Sam Bailey who tallied 14 timely points and three impressive blocks. Sam was also named the Player of the Game for the Blues.
Sam also had a clutch 'And 1' late in the match to help fend off a surging Chargers offensive push regaining their 10 point lead with under a minute to play. #GoBlues pic.twitter.com/Qj8lUQQLQB
