This is the second time Hilario has earned conference First-Team honours. The native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil took the nod for the 2019-20 season as well, the last time an official PACWEST season took place. Hilario has been among the leaders this season in total kills and kills per set as well as in aces, digs and total offence. The 6-foot-4 outside hitter set a new career-high in aces this season with 27 despite playing in 11 fewer games than 2019-20 due to this year's shortened schedule.
Hilario's season-best for kills was 20 in a Jan. 28 road loss at Vancouver Island University (VIU)
For Lee, his regular inclusion among the PACWEST top-15 in both kills and blocks helped him clinch a spot on the All-Rookie team. The 6-foot-5 Coquitlam product became a go-to option opposite Hilario in the Blues attack as he recorded 117 kills on the season. On six occasions he posted double-digit kills with his season-high 18 coming in a Dec. 3 home win over VIU.
Hilario and Lee and the rest of the Blues will be in action Thursday, Feb. 24 at the PACWEST Provincials as they face the College of the Rockies in a quarterfinal matchup starting at 3 p.m.
