For the second day in a row at the CCAA national championship, the Capilano Blues went well over the 100-point mark and this time it netted them a win in a 119-100 victory over the Holland College Hurricanes of Prince Edward Island.
The win gives the Blues a chance at a podium finish if they can win two more games, the bronze semifinal Saturday and the bronze-medal game which would be Sunday.
All five Blues starters scored double digits Friday led by 28 from Player of the Game Tyrone Asenoguan. Capilano was on target right from opening tip as they scored 34 points in the first quarter on a scorching 14-of-18 from the field to take a 10-point lead. CJ Campbell had 10 of his 18 for the game in the opening 10 minutes and he'd finish the night with a double-double that included 11 boards. Asenoguan and Campbell had dunks 48 seconds apart in the opening frame.

CapU took a six-point lead to the locker room, expanded it to nine in the third quarter behind five points each from Campbell, Asenoguan and Marko Cosic. The Blues crested 30 points again in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Coming off the bench in the late going, Scott Watson and Benito Reed got in on the scoring as well.
Up next for the Blues is the bronze semifinal against the St. Clair College Saints of Windsor, Ont. The Saints lost their semifinal Friday narrowly to Dawson College in an 83-81 final.
