The PACWEST has announced its 2022 Conference All-Stars and four Blues players have been recognized.
From the Blues men's team, second-year midfielder Luca Martinelli is a league all-star for the first time. On the women's side, Alanah Dulong has earned her third PACWEST All-Star honour while Mya Fraser gets her second and Julia Peyton is an All-Star for the first time.
Luca Martinelli - The Vancouver native and Notre Dame grad scored the first goals of his PACWEST career this season and started each game that he was available for. Martinelli was a tireless worker in the Blues midfield this season, regaining possession for the Blues and never shying away from tackles. The 5-foot-10 business student gained attention around the league this season for his tenacity and ability to score when the opportunity arose.

Alanah Dulong - Making the switch to a new position was a smooth transition for Dulong as she went from defender to forward and immediately put her speed to work making runs up the wing. It paid off in a new career high in goals and she was also able to deliver the ball to teammates repeatedly using precision crosses. The fourth-year North Vancouver product will be a key for the Blues in their PACWEST title defense at the Provincial tournament Oct. 29 and 30.
Mya Fraser - Despite her listing as a defender, Fraser got upfield with regularity and used her height to great advantage getting her head on crosses and corner kicks for three of her team-leading (tied) four goals this season. The third year communications student was also responsible in her own half of the field, breaking up opposition passes and getting the ball forward.
Julia Peyton - A three-year stalwart on the Blues back line, Peyton was rewarded for her reliability this year with her first All-Star nod. A leader and constant presence for the Blues again this season, Peyton started every game and played almost every minute of the season. The Vancouver native and Templeton grad scored the first PACWEST goal of her career in the first week of the season and was consistently called on for free kicks and corners.
