Adrianna Babinski and Merlin Fisk earn Athlete of the Week honours.
Adrianna Babinski is the Capilano University Blues women’s soccer Athlete of the Week.
Babinski played the final PACWEST regular-season weekend of her career and scored twice Saturday in a Blues 3-1 win at Douglas. On Sunday, the fifth-year business student again directed much of the Blues attack and created numerous scoring chances for her teammates on the way to a 2-0 home win over Douglas.
Babinski finishes her final season tied for the team lead in goals with four.
Merlin Fisk is the Capilano University Blues men’s soccer Athlete of the Week.
Fisk concluded his Blues and PACWEST career over the weekend with a pair of goals Saturday in a 4-3 loss at Douglas College. He was dangerous again Sunday and generated three shots on goal in a 2-0 defeat against Douglas.
The fifth-year kinesiology student established a new career high for goals in his final season with four, good enough to lead the Blues in that category for the year.
