Meagan Briggs and Tyrone Asenoguan earn Athlete of the Week honours.
Meagan Briggs is the Capilano University Blues women’s Athlete of the Week.
Briggs led the Blues in scoring both nights as they completed a weekend sweep on home court of Douglas College. The 5-foot-11 forward led all scorers Friday with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting. She also had eight rebounds and four assists.
In Saturday’s low-scoring affair, the native of Redding, Calif. notched 16 points while handing out four more assists. Briggs was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line on the weekend.

Tyrone Asenoguan is the Capilano University Blues men’s Athlete of the Week.
The third-year guard totalled 44 points in a weekend split against visiting Douglas College.
On Friday, Asenoguan was electric, helping the Blues to a win with 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting in just 25 minutes coming off the bench. His night included a couple of highlight-reel dunks, six rebounds and four assists.
On Saturday, he filled the stat line again with 12 points, seven boards – including four on the offensive glass – and five assists.
