Lauren Grey and Merlin Fisk earn Athlete of the Week honours.
Lauren Grey is the Capilano University Blues Female Athlete of the Week.
The North Vancouver product notched her first goal of the year, the opening tally in a 2-1 midweek victory over Langara. Grey was relied on for stout defending from her fullback position and handled several of the Blues corners and throw-ins.
The second-year communications student and Blues co-captain played all 180 minutes for her side in their two-game week.
Merlin Fisk is the Capilano University Blues Male Athlete of the Week.
The fifth-year Blues veteran moved from his usual midfield position to striker on Sunday for a depleted CapU lineup and it paid immediate dividends as he scored his first goal of the season, opening the scoring in an eventual 2-1 loss to VIU.
Fisk scored the Blues only goal of the week as they were blanked 2-0 by Langara in a Wednesday meeting earlier in the week.
