Alanah Dulong and Luca Martinelli earn Athlete of the Week honours.
Alanah Dulong is the Capilano University Blues Female Athlete of the Week.
The North Vancouver native was instrumental in the Blues six-point weekend, leading her team to a pair of wins over Langara College. On Saturday, Dulong volleyed home the decisive goal in the 75th minute in a Blues 2-1 victory at Langara. The fourth-year business student followed that up with a beautiful cross into the box which was finished by Taylor Colby for the only goal Sunday in a 1-0 home win over Langara.
Playing up front this season, Dulong has established a new career high in goals.
Luca Martinelli is the Capilano University Blues Male Athlete of the Week.
Martinelli was a constant in the middle of the park for the Blues on the weekend despite a pair of setbacks to Langara College. The second-year midfielder got involved in tackles repeatedly, recovering possession for his side throughout the weekend.
Martinelli was able to organize and distribute the ball for his side in what was a difficult weekend on the scoreboard.
