Capilano Blues Department of Athletics and Recreation
The Capilano Blues women's soccer team will start 2025 with a new head coach at the helm.
“It’s time for us to move in a different direction and to do this, a change in personnel is warranted,” said CapU Director of Athletics and Recreation Georgette Reed. “We wish Dennis Kindel all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his time and commitment to Blues women’s soccer.”
Kindel coached 10 seasons with the Blues, compiling a regular-season record of 43 wins, 36 losses and 29 ties. In 2021, he coached the Blues to the PACWEST provincial title and was named conference coach of the year. His teams made two appearances at the CCAA National Championship, including this past season as the host team where the Blues took the bronze medal.
As a player, Kindel was a goalkeeper with Capilano from 2001 to 2004 and was part of the Blues 2003 CCAA National Championship team.
The search for the next head coach of Blues women's soccer is underway.
