Graydon Sherle
Hometown: Port Coquitlam, BC
Previous Schools: Riverside Secondary School
Club: Coquitlam Metro Ford
Height: 5'11"
Position: Goalkeeper
Sherle, “Everyone has been welcoming, and I'm excited to play with the guys and play under Coach Steve. I plan on studying criminology next year, and I'm really looking forward to it.”
Coach Millar, “I have been following Graydon for a long while. He comes from a very good program with Coquitlam Metro Ford of the BCSPL. I was extremely pleased when I received Graydon’s commitment to our program. From what I have seen, Graydon is the top keeper graduating in this age group at the BCSPL level and will be a massive addition to the Blues. Graydon has a very good game IQ, to go with his shot-stopping skills, and a great ability to distribute the ball with his feet. His calmness and confidence to go along with his abilities will be very important to our team in the style that we want to play. I look forward to working with Graydon.”
Giuliano Valerga Durand
Hometown: Lima, Peru
Previous Schools: Canadian College
Club: FC Serbia United
Height: 5'11"
Position: Leftback
Valerga Durand, “I chose CapU because I noticed the players’ commitment to the team and the confidence the coach has in his players. I chose this school to study psychology because of its strong academic reputation and supportive learning environment.”
Coach Millar, “Giuliano is an international student from Peru who attended our Identification Camp and performed well. He has been training with us since then and has shown that he has skill along with a good understanding of the game. He has worked extremely hard since he came out both on the pitch and off it to ensure he is ready for the upcoming season. He has fit in well with the guys already and will be a very good addition to our program.”
Jayden Kerr
Hometown: North Vancouver, BC
Previous Schools: West Vancouver Secondary School
Club: Mountain United FB, Aalbory FC
Height: 5'11"
Position: Center Midfield
Kerr, “I chose CapU because it offers a highly respected kinesiology program that aligns with my academic and career goals. It’s a place where I can challenge myself academically while staying local. After playing in Denmark, I met with coach Steve who reignited my passion for soccer and influenced my decision to pursue playing soccer at the university level.
Coach Millar, “I had the fortune of coaching Jayden for a short period this past winter in the VMSL when he returned from Denmark. Jayden is an extremely technical central midfielder with great game IQ. Although Jayden took a year off from school after graduating, he played his youth soccer with Burnaby FC (formerly Mountain FC) of the BCSPL, before heading to Denmark for a brief stint. Jayden’s ability on the ball is something I’m excited to work with for years to come. Jayden is another exciting player to add to our Blues program.”
Qusay Al Hamdan
Hometown: Vancouver, BC
Previous Schools: Langley Secondary School
Height: 5'11"
Position: Winger
Al Hamdan, “I chose CapU to study biology to be in the medical field. I also chose CapU for the professional environment of the team and the coaching staff.”
Coach Millar, “Our identification camp this year was extremely competitive, and Qusay is another player that showed very well at it. He has since trained and played a couple of games for us this spring/summer. Although he is still quite young, Qusay has a year under his belt playing in the VMSL against men last year, which we believe will benefit him to adapt and contribute to our program immediately this season. I’ve found with Qusay that the ball seems to find him in dangerous areas where we want to hurt teams. He is also willing to put the work in too. I look forward to seeing him on the pitch for the Blues.”

Men's Volleyball
Liam Martin
Hometown: Prince George, BC

Coach Simpson, “Liam brings a ton of skill and determination to the program. His competitive spirit on the court and high academic ambitions are exciting qualities for a student-athlete. We can't wait to see him excel at the next level as a member of the Blues.”
Tristan Shanks
Hometown: Kelowna BC
Previous Schools: Kelowna Secondary
Height: 6'4"

Shanks, “I have decided to go to Capilano because of the beautiful campus, the amazing team culture and great science program. I’m also stoked to play for Coach Simpson and meet my new teammates.”
