Men's Basketball
Jayden Kenyon
Hometown: Langley, BC
Previous Schools: Brookswood Secondary
Club: 3D Basketball Academy
Height: 6'1"
Position: Guard
Kenyon, “I’m excited to join the Blues men's basketball team this coming season. The coaches and players have made me feel incredibly welcome, and I had the privilege of watching them play through the Provincial Championship and come out as champions. I’m also looking forward to pursuing my studies in Kinesiology and was impressed with the great program they have to offer.”
Coach Klim, “We’re excited to welcome Jayden Kenyon to the Blues men’s basketball team. Jayden brings a dynamic and well-rounded skill set to our program. Offensively, he is a consistent and confident shooter who can stretch the floor and create scoring opportunities from anywhere. His unselfish play and sharp court vision allow him to move the ball effectively, keeping the offense fluid and improving those around him. He can shift gears, not only knocking down shots, but also has the explosiveness to attack the rim with purpose and control. Defensively, he brings energy, discipline, and a strong presence, showing a commitment to locking in and doing the dirty work on that end of the floor. Beyond the stats, his positive attitude and team-first mentality make him a perfect fit for our "family" culture. He’s coachable, motivated, and hungry to improve, and we’re confident that with continued development, he’ll make a significant impact in the years ahead. Welcome to the Blues family, Jayden!”
Women's Basketball
Olivia Rozinsky
Hometown: Grand Prairie, AB
Previous Schools: Northwestern Polytechnic
Height: 5'11"
Position: Forward
Rozinsky, "I chose to play basketball at Capilano University because I connected really well with Coach Chris, and I like the team’s style of play. The campus’s natural surroundings create a great atmosphere, and being just a short drive from home allows me to stay connected with my community while competing at the next level”.
Coach Weimer, "It’s always nice to add an experienced player to the roster. Olivia will join us from Grand Prairie as a transfer from Northwestern Polytechnic. Her visit to CapU really sealed the deal; not only did she impress on court during a brief workout, but more importantly, she had a great rapport with players and staff. Olivia will bring more than just experience to CapU; she can shoot it from all three levels, play inside or out, defend well, has great footwork and understands the game. I’m confident that Olivia will have an immediate impact on and off the court for us moving forward."
