With several recruits having been announced over the past few weeks, below is a comprehensive list of those who have been announced via our Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Men's Basketball

Erik Bergman

Erik Bergman

Hometown: North Vancouver, BC
Previous Schools: Seycove Secondary
Club: Drive North Shore
Height: 6'5"
Position: Small Forward/Shooting Guard

Bergman, "I am proud to commit to the Capilano University Blues men’s basketball team. I want to thank Coach TJ and Coach Ross for this opportunity, and I’m excited to join a competitive culture where I can work hard, grow as a player, and contribute to the program. I also look forward to studying Kinesiology in a hands-on environment that will support my academic and athletic development. I want to thank my family and coaches who’ve supported me and helped me reach this point."

Coach Klim, "We are excited to welcome Erik to the team, a promising talent who brings tremendous potential both on and off the court. With his dedication and work ethic, we are confident he will make a significant impact on our program. Erik possesses a natural athletic ability and a strong understanding of the game, which will add depth and versatility to our lineup. Beyond his physical skills, he demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement, a mindset that perfectly aligns with our team’s values. We are equally enthusiastic about supporting his academic growth, ensuring he excels in the classroom as well as on the hardwood. Our coaching staff looks forward to helping Erik develop into a well-rounded student-athlete, ready to contribute meaningfully to the team’s success now and in the seasons to come. Afu Bullock

Previous Schools: Heritage Woods Secondary
Club: Excell Basketball/UPrep
Height: 6'1"
Position: Guard

Bullock, “I’m beyond grateful to be given this opportunity to play at Capilano University. I wouldn’t be here without those who support me and push me on a daily basis, and I won’t let them down. I can’t wait to be a part of this team and play under Coach Klim, an opportunity I’m beyond excited for. All glory to God.”

Coach Klim, "The Capilano Blues are thrilled to welcome Afu Bullock to the program. Afu brings an exciting blend of speed, athleticism, and a relentless work ethic that will immediately boost the team's competitiveness on both ends of the floor. A dynamic and explosive athlete, Afu plays with a high motor and a commitment to excellence. His quick first step and lateral speed make him a threat in transition and a lockdown presence on defense. What sets Afu apart, however, is not just his natural ability but his dedication to improvement. He approaches the game with a coachable mindset and is consistently working to refine his skills and elevate his performance. With his hardworking attitude and team-first mentality, Afu is poised to make an immediate impact and grow into a key contributor for the Blues. His arrival brings not only talent but also a strong culture of effort and accountability that will push those around him to raise their level. Jacob Oreta

Jacob Oreta

Previous Schools: St. Thomas More Collegiate
Club: SBMC/PGC
Height: 6'1"
Position: Point/Shooting Guard

Oreta, “I’m extremely grateful to announce my commitment to Capilano University, where I will be pursuing my basketball career and academic journey in Kinesiology. I’m thankful for all those who have helped me get here, as this is a big step, and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes both on the court and in the classroom. Let’s get to it.”

Coach Klim, "We’re excited to welcome Jacob to our team, a player who brings a perfect blend of energy, skill, and dedication. Known for his relentless work ethic both on the court and in the classroom, he embodies the true student-athlete. His passion for the game shines through every time he hits the court. His expertise and hustle will help ignite the team’s spirit and elevate our collective performance.  Jacob has a proven track record of hard work and a positive attitude, making him well-suited to fit seamlessly into our team’s culture. Whether it’s driving the offense, locking down opponents on defense, or supporting his teammates, he consistently shows a commitment that inspires those around him.

Aidan Underwood

Previous Schools: Loyalist College
Height: 5'10"
Position: Guard

Underwood, "I’m excited to announce my return to the West Coast to play basketball for Capilano University while continuing my education by studying Sciences at Capilano. I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep playing the game I love at a high level. I’m looking forward to working with the coaching staff and my teammates toward a successful season. Thank you to my family and friends for all the support throughout my athletic and academic journey."

Coach Klim, "We’re thrilled to welcome Aiden to our squad. He is a dynamic guard whose presence is set to elevate our game on both ends of the floor. With a combination of explosive athleticism, sharp court vision, and relentless defensive energy, Aiden brings the kind of impact that can shift momentum and lead a team. He can create shots off the dribble, knock down perimeter jumpers, and make smart reads in transition. Whether it's controlling the tempo, finding open teammates, or stepping up to lead, he brings a level of positivity and confidence that's immediately felt. Defensively, Aiden knows what it takes to compete, and he is recognized for locking down assignments and consistently applying pressure. With high basketball IQ and an unselfish approach, he embodies the grit and toughness we value in our program. We are very excited for his future as a Capilano Blue and look forward to him joining our team and the Blues family. Welcome, Aidan!"

Karmyn Sujan

Karmyn Sujan

Hometown: Surrey, BC
Previous Schools: North Surrey Secondary
Club: Coastal FC
Height: 5'5"
Position: Full-back/Winger

Sujan: “I chose CapU because everyone was very welcoming and the program is very competitive and positive. CapU doesn’t just seem like a school I can excel in physically, but also academically with their amazing kinesiology program.”

Coach Ring, "Karmyn is a dynamic player whose creativity and pace immediately set her apart on the field. She consistently demonstrates an exceptional work ethic, approaching each training session and match with focus and determination. What truly distinguishes Karmyn, however, is her selfless, team-first mentality. She is always willing to support her teammates and contribute in any way that benefits the group. With these qualities, she is well-positioned to integrate seamlessly into the team environment and make a meaningful impact both on and off the field."

Position: Outside Hitter

Keating, “I decided to choose CapU because of the amazing people and coaching staff. I am excited to extend my academics at CapU, and cannot wait for what the next chapter is!”

Coach Soolsma, “We are excited to add Addison to our CapU family. Addison brings speed, athleticism and a fire that will fit in perfectly with our talented group. You can’t help but notice her excitement when she plays. We can’t wait to have her in our gym this upcoming year.”
