Head Coach, Alex Van Samang is stepping away from the men’s basketball program and, effective immediately, Jason Price will be assuming all head coaching responsibilities while TJ Klim will be the lead assistant coach.
Talking about Van Samang's time as Head Coach, Athletic Director, Georgette Reed said "We’d like to thank Alex for the time he has invested in the Blues program these past three seasons."
Under his purview, the Blues assembled a 33-25 regular season record resulting in one PACWEST Provincial bronze medal, one silver medal and one PACWEST Provincial Championship during the 2022-23 season. The Blues also made two trips to the CCAA National Championship where they finished tied for 5th during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
