Veteran 5th-year Aynsley Hurtado and rookie Riley Marshall earn Athlete of the Week honours.
Aynsley Hurtado is the Capilano University women’s Student-Athlete of the Week.
The homegrown North Vancouver product scored twice, including the game-winning goal, on Saturday in a 3-2 road win at Langara.
On Sunday at home to Langara, Hurtado had the ball at her foot much of the match, helping the Blues to a 2-2 draw and an undefeated weekend. Her three goals this season have all come in the last two weekends and she sits tied for second on the team in goals.
Riley Marshall is the Capilano University Blues soccer Student-Athlete of the Week.
Marshall was solid in his defender duties for the Blues and was again a threat on headers from set pieces. The Langley native played all 180 minutes this weekend and has been a consistent presence in the Capilano lineup all season.
