A pair of players in their respective first years in Blues colours have been honoured with places on PACWEST All-Star Teams.
Transfer and import guard Kash Lang has earned a spot as a 1st-Team All-Star while first-year guard Arshya Ghasemi claimed a place on the All-Rookie Team.
Lang, a 6-foot-4 native of Idaho and transfer from Blue Mountain Community College in Oregon, produced in every category for the Blues this season and proved a durable and dependable asset for Capilano. Lang led the Blues with 15.4 points per game and went for more than 20 on five occasions including 31 against Douglas on Jan. 26. He added 4.7 boards and 2.0 assists per game, starting all 24 PACWEST regular season games.
Ghasemi made immediate contributions for the Blues in his first season out of Rockridge Secondary in West Vancouver. The 6-foot-5 point guard started 12 games for the Blues and showed he was ready for the college level by scoring 24 against Vancouver Island University in his third game. Ghasemi ended up with 9.1 points per game along with 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
