Athlete of the Week - Mackenzie Smith

Mackenzie Smith is the Capilano University Blues women’s Athlete of the Week. Smith came within a basket of consecutive double-doubles in helping CapU to wins over Douglas College and Okanagan College. The 6-foot-3 post player had season-bests with 15 points and 14 rebounds in a 63-55 win at Douglas Thursday and came back the next night at home with eight points and 11 boards, including five on the offensive glass, in a convincing victory. For the week, Smith had 23 points, 25 rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
