Athlete of the Week - Meagan Briggs

Meagan is the Capilano University Blues women’s Athlete of the Week. Briggs led the Blues in scoring both nights as they completed a weekend sweep on home court of Douglas College. The 5-foot-11 forward led all scorers Friday with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting. She also had eight rebounds and four assists. In Saturday’s low-scoring affair, the native of Redding, Calif. notched 16 points while handing out four more assists. Briggs was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line on the weekend.
