Markiel Simpson

Markiel Simpson was hired as Blues head coach in April of 2024.
A former Blues player, Simpson was an outside hitter and middle blocker in three seasons in Capilano colours. He was part of a PACWEST provincial title-winning CapU side in 2013.
Simpson also played at the USports level, competing for a season at the University of New Brunswick. In 2019, he had the opportunity to play for Jamaica's national beach volleyball team.
From 2022 to 2024, Simpson was an assistant coach with the Blues men's team and brings additional coaching experience at the high school and senior club level.
