Brent Mutis was hired in September of 2019 and his role includes management of all content on the Blues Athletics website plus media relations, publications, awards and PACWEST administration requirements. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing academic compliance for all Blues student-athletes. His knowledge and application of PACWEST and CapU athletic and academic eligibility rules ensures Blues athletes have a reliable resource as they navigate studies, training, and life on campus. His connections to the campus community lead to Blues news and content appearing at CapU campuses in North Vancouver and Squamish and to the communities of North Vancouver and Sea-to-Sky country.

Originally from Port Coquitlam, Brent is a graduate of Terry Fox Secondary and also holds a bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia where he was a member of the varsity men's baseball team. He graduated from Langara College in 2008 with a certificate in journalism.

From 2010 to 2019, he was the director of communications for the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) and he has worked as a reporter for newspapers in Salmon Arm and Vernon, B.C.
